Can you have AF without ovulation?

I got AF back 6 months PP (almost to the day) so I started using Fertility Friend to help keep track of my periods. For the first time in my life (I started when I was 10 and I"m almost 23) I'm regular...I start roundabout the day it predicts each time...

However, I dont' show ANY signs of ovulation beforehand. My CM doesn't change, I don't feel any different, etc...

I know that BFing can put your body in a "menopausal' state....

So, is it possible to have regular AF without really ovulating? OR am I just not showing signs?

its more likely, if you are having regular cycles without odd periods, that you are Oing without the symptoms... rather than having several anovulatory cycles.

since you do use FF... do you temp? temping would usually confirm that (though in some cases you can ovulate and still not get the temp shift, its not all that common)

I don't temp. I haven't shelled out for a fertility thermometer yet. We kind of use it as a general guide (we're avoiding right now)

I got my basal thermometer at CVS and it was maybe $8?

It's very common for nursing mamas to have weird cycles (especially the first few) and to not ovulate during a cycle. I've had temp rises and even some signs of O, but have not ovulated on a few cycles since getting my AF back in June of this year. I think my first ovulatory cycle wasn't until september and that was iffy at best (a 5 day LP seems off to me if I did O).

I did end up getting pregnant again in November (the month I decided to bag charting and temping, LOL).

One sign of pending ovulation for me was very VERY sore nipples....i knew something was up when latching started to kill.
