My son is 15 months old and was pretty much 90% EBF until I got pregnant (10 weeks now) I am taking more milk 2 but still have way less milk than I did. He's a little more into solids but still prefers the boob and just hangs out on it longer now. I weighed him and he's lost 1.5 lbs (down to 30) he has been the same weight for several months and has been walking since 9 months so I am scared he's just not getting enough to eat. Any suggestions on getting more food into him? He will try anything but only eat tiny amounts.

Yeah he only gained 1.5 lbs from 7 months to now. I just thught kids weren't ever supposed to lose weight. He has a lot less wet diapers (but won't drink much out of cups even though I offer a lot). He seems fine, no other changes physically. He's happy and healthy and doing more every day.

My 19 mo DS gets ice cream. He's not getting any milk from me, as far as I can tell I dried up around 20 weeks, and he won't drink any type of non-mommy milk, so we give him yogurt and ice cream - as much as he wants, which isn't as much as you'd think, considering. If you don't do dairy, there is coconut-based ice cream, but I'm not sure about its fat content.

: I know how worrisome that can be! I got pregnant when DD was 12 months, and though she didn't lose weight, she stopped gaining (and was below the 3rd percentile for weight to start with). After all the scary FTT tests showed she was healthy, just tiny, we started giving her super-enriched milkshakes: full-fat yogurt mixed with cream and a pediatric calorie booster (docs said we could try carnation instant breakfast but she wouldn't drink it and it had lots of chemicals we didn't want so they gave us samples of the calorie booster to add to foods). It worked and helped her gain at least a little; what really helped was hanging on til the milk came back in and tandem nursing her with her baby brother's newborn colostrum/milk. Hang in there!

Many children gain very little from 9-15 months as they get more mobile.
