Awesome! I just came here looking for this exact thing! I love your articles, Tracy!

So, before I read the new article-- looking back a bit . . . what a WEIRD month in the news, right? Geez! I kept thinking of that Uranus factor.

And mercury retrograding . . . we ordered something expensive (by our standards) with our Christmas gift money and it never showed up. The post office claims they delivered and that someone signed for it. And now we're just out the money. Oh well . . .

There were lots of good things that cycle, too, though-- I felt very blessed. But there was also a lot of challenge. I feel completely beat-up right now. Not physically-- just mentally and emotionally. (Hmm, time for some Olive flower essence!) I'm thinking maybe I bit off more than I could chew.

I am hoping that the Capricorn cycle will treat me better but I am not feeling awfully optimistic right now . . . . . . off to go read now . . .

ETA: Yay!!!! 'Kay, now I feel better. Whew.

So, a quick question . . . I have two children with Moon in Capricorn in their natal charts . . . will this lunar cycle affect them more specifically or more intensely or whatever than it will affect others? Will it be more harmonious or natural for them?

Tracy, I love how accessible your articles are! But even so I am still confused Can you recommend any books for the total astrology novice?

I wish you could get that money back. Did you use a visa or american express card? They sometimes have insurance and will reimburse. Just bugs me to hear the item didn't make it to you and you are out cash.

I think your moon in capricorn children will be a bit more Pronounced this cycle. I would look to them as leaders of their life. I'm not saying you stop being the Alpha in the house but if they say some things that seem curious take note of it. If they show interest in things that seem curious, pursue. I would say they are getting information that is important to their life.

I had another person suggest the same thing, mastphil. I am going to compile a list and post both here and on my blog.

Thanks, much!

I am excited to read the article! This last lunation was my first time reading your articles Tracy and I was blown away! Several times this past month I have gone back to the article to read and was just shocked at how much it applied to my life. Thank you so much!

Magstphil my first book on astrology was "The Only Astrology Book You Will Ever Need" by Joanna Woolfolk. It's very basic.

wow wow wow!

its been quite a wacky month, highs and lows and all sorts of stuff popping up.
tracy i asked you a while ago about a man i connected with autumn equinox, he reappeared at solstice and said he was ready to meet me this month, january. and then suddenly he wasn't, and it turned weird & he disappeared again. well i just found out he's a capricorn! and you described him to a tee in that article. wow..

so now, i have *no idea* what to expect from this new moon or month ahead. but maybe what's more important is that i get clear what i *want*..?

Great article Tracy! I always get so excited to read what you write. And I am going to be sure to make some solid goals for myself this lunation. They don't all have to come to fruition now, but this is such a powerful lunation, it would be a shame to not focus on how I can harness this energy in my life.

Thanks, Tracy!

This past month has been insane. One of the biggest goals I had that I thought I wouldn't get to do ended up happening due to circumstances completely out of my control. I am so inspired to keep making goals, even ones that seem impossible. I just have to remember not to let my MIL plan her visits during Mercury retrograde anymore.

I also wanted to say thank you for your blog post on Chiron! Learning that I have Chiron in Aries in the 7th house explains so much.

I would love this too! When I was a teen I just bought every single astrology book that came through the used book store I worked at. Lol.

Oh, what a good idea! My mom and I were not getting on well at all over the holidays either. Nice to have Mercruy to blame

Well, I have been thinking about the books....and I must say, a lot of the books that I have on my shelf from, I swear, I'm not kidding the 1970s (I was VERY young) and a ton from the 80's..and of course 90's.... are all good. But I dunno...right now in the times we are living with everyone having very precious extra time. I think it is best to give you something easy to understand. Now would not be the time to give you a Tracy Marks book on Pluto....which is very good by the way, just way too complex for a newby and too specific on one planet.

So, with that in mind, to really get a great understanding of astrology go for ---

Parkers' Astrology

It is the best.

And in terms of learning, if you really want to understand astrology, you can go to astrodiest and generate your chart then take the book and read all about yourself. Once you start to 'get' it, you will then want to do your partners, family, friends chart. and then you will be hooked.

As one who has 2 family members with moon in aries and 3 friends with moon in aries... it is always a treat to see the obvious similarities.

also, once you learn that you have a Moon Square Saturn for example, you can also google it and see what you get. There are so many astrologers on the web that you'll usually find something useful.

Once you read Parker's book I then think you should run not walk to

Astrology for the Soul by Jan Spiller. It is vital to learn your nodes, imho.

I just saw that Astrodienst (astro.com) has a new AstroWiki-- a free online astrology encyclopedia. It seems pretty good after a cursory look.
