I realize I haven't been as active in this DDC as I was with DD, but it is still nice to check in every so often and see how everyone is doing. Always encouraging to read about how other people are going through the exact same thing as you. Makes you feel like you can really keep going at this sometimes daunting journey of pregnancy.
Anyway, I had several "scares" that our DS would be born a tad too early, but now I'm overdue. Kind of funny how that works out.
According to my fertility chart I think I ovulated between April 4-9, which puts my due dates between Dec. 26-29 (I joined this DDC though because I was 41+4 with DD and figured it would be somewhere around the same this time as well). So I'm somewhere between 41+4 and 42+2 at this point. I did have a midway ultrasound around 20 weeks where they gave me the due date of Jan. 7, but I know due dates from ultrasounds this late are not accurate (though according to my fertility chart there is a very slight possibility that this date works).
I've tried every trick in the book at this point from castor oil, to cohash and I even had my midwife strip my membranes yesterday. Every single time I have a few fairly intense contractions and it stops and nothing. So frustrating. Starting to worry that I'll have to go in and be induced.
So I guess this is my plea to have the labor vibes sent my way. I've spent the last hour or so reading some of the birth stories for inspiration. Maybe something will work!
