Fever and Mucousy poop in 2 year old...Any ideas?

My ds has a fever today (101.2) and earlier he had a poop (with a lot of gas) that had TONS of mucous in it.

When he was a tiny infant he had some green mucousy poops and i had to cut out dairy as we found he was VERY sensative to it (including blood in his poop back then) but ever since he was 18 months old-ish we have slowly been able to add dairy back in and for the last 6 months have not even limited it in any way and he's been fine so I don't think it's that.

But why would a toddler ever have a mucousy poop??? He also has a TERRIBLE cough that sound so junky and he keeps like kind of losing his voice in that way that makes me want to clear my throat because it sounds like that's what he needs to do.

He also has a somewhat drippy nose for the past week but it is clear.

Any ideas about what is going on? OH AND this is random and may have nothing to do with this but for the last month i've noticed some new weird skin issues. One is a dime sized red spot on his thigh that feels like sandpaper and has tons of tiny red dots inside it. Kind of looks like ring worm but it's perfectly circular (not egg shaped) and the whole entire thing is filled in with dots so there is no clear middle.

Furthermore he has developed some little skin colored dots near his elbows that i can feel more than i can see but they are new.

His temperment and personality have been different yesterday and today. He has been very low key and mumbling a lot. Also nursing a TON when before he was down to just nap and bedtime. Today he's nursed at least 30 times. And he is very sleepy. My poor guy

I'm sorry you're little guy is not well

I'm no expert, but all those symptoms seem like dairy intolerance still to me.
Symptoms can take a little while to build & "fill the bucket" so to speak.

The rash sounds excema-ish to me, dairy causes extra mucous production, and with an illness could aggravate his digestive lining.

Now, I could be totally off base, just giving some perspective. I have a dairy sensitive 20 month old, so that's why it jumps out at me.

I hope he is well soon.

Hmm...so I wonder if it could be something like he has a virus or some kind of cold going around and due to having a lower immune system at the moment he is reacting to dairy again???

Just seams odd after going for so long with no problems (with the dairy).
