Worchestershire without HFCS?

That isn't vegan? Does anyone know of a brand?

There are 2 organic brands at the store I frequent, but they are both vegan. The thing is, it isn't the anchovies I'm avoiding, it is the HFCS and other additives I'll probably go with one of those if I can't find an alternative but I don't get why there isn't one!

Ideas anyone?

We have a heavily Jewish area of the city, and during Passover, both the "kosher Kroger" and the "kosher Publix" carry worchestershire without the HFCS. They have an enormous section of stuff without HFCS--it's a great time of year to stock up!

That's a FABULOUS idea!! I've been looking for a good Worcestershire for years. I've tried the vegan ones and they don't taste right. I've found a couple made with CS instead of HFCS, but I'd prefer to avoid even that. I'll have to go looking during the next passover. Of the generally available brands, Crystal is the one that I've found that tastes the best, but again, it still has CS.

Thank you for the Kosher tip! I will definitely check around for that. My old neighborhood had a large Jewish population (synagogue and community center were both there) so that would be a great place to look if I can't find any where I am now (in the boonies!).

Like Cristeen, I've seen one brand (forget which) that just had CS instead of HFCS. So I'll get that one if I can't find anything better. Thanks for the input on the vegan ones....I suspected they just wouldn't be the same, so I'll pass on those

French's Worcestershire sauce (classic) doesn't have HFCS but does have CS as the 4th ingredient after distilled vinegar, water, molasses.
