toddlers and running?

I know all toddlers develop different and I shouldn't compare, but I just realized that DD (18 months) still doesn't run. She can walk really fast and kinda bounces when she does so, but not exactly running like some of her other friends. Someone tell me I'm just crazy and that this is just one of those first time mama silly worries

I wouldn't worry about it at 18 months. Some will have it by then and others wait longer.
Enjoy it while it lasts, she's not behind

My 2.5 year old DD barely runs! And she didn't even get that far until just a few months ago.

It's totally just a matter of a kid's own development. My DD has just never really been on the cutting edge of gross motor skills. She's not behind to any degree worth worrying about, she's just at the far end of the bell curve.

An average is just that. Gotta have kids running earlier and kids running later in order for it to all average out to some number that almost no kids will hit.

As long as she's not showing any other major deficits in gross motor skills, I really doubt it's a worry.

Sounds awesome. Sounds like you don't have to worry about her taking off in a store.

I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy your sedate walking together.

Don't worry. My two are almost 19 months and not full on running yet. Just really fast walking.
