Raising my toddler with raw foods.

We are not 100% raw in my household, but try to incorporate many raw meals through out the week. I find it hard to find a variety of foods to give to my 15 month old. It is hard to do many raw veggies since he does not have too many teeth yet. I am not against cooks veggies for him since that is what he eats most of the time, but is there something that I am missin out on for him? What would be the most nutrient paced for a 15 month old?...also what about chia for him? or any of the super foods?

I give my 2 yr old chia seeds in smoothies. She has no idea she is eating them.

A lot of the veggies are hard to eat raw so you can try smoothies/green smoothies. You could add hemp or flax. My ds was into salads at a pretty young age. Easter to eat things; ripe pears, peaches, bananas, raw apple sauce, prunes, dates, apricots, squash, corn cut off the cob, nut/seed mylks.

thanks for the ideas! My son is only 15 months old and still nursing a lot, but can I start giving him almond milk? I didn't know about nut allergies.

Almond milk is tricky but ds2 was into ds1's peanut butter sandwiches at that age and it wasn't a problem. You could try it and see. My son like chocolate almond milk heated as hot chocolate. It's really quite good. I like almond milk. The pre-made have a lot of sugar in them. My friend recommended cutting it with plain/unsweetened almond milk. May be good for a little one.

Neither my husband nor I have nut allergies. Both or sons were given them at young ages (my mom) and there were no problems.

There's a book called "Evie's Kitchen" by British raw foodist Shazzie, which is a great resource for bringing up kids raw (or partially so). It goes into a lot of nutritional details, has recipes and some of the issues that come up.
