Being sick while pregnant

We took ds to check out a daycare a few days ago, and the next day he came down with a fever of 102 that only lasted a day. Today, I'm feeling like I'm getting a sore throat. Are there any concerns (apart from not taking meds) about being sick while pregnant? If I get a fever, is that something to worry about? My OB said he'd want me to take Tamiflu if I got the flu. Isn't that a class C drug? Is it that dangerous to have the flu while pregnant?
I've taken 2G of vitamin C along with my prenatal. And I think I'll get some zinc lozenges tomorrow...anything else that's recommended and you've taken successfully? It doesn't help that it's been so cold here...and breathing in all this dry air.

I take vitamin D- about 6000-10000 when I am feeling run down, at least 2000 on a regular basis. I haven't (knock on wood) actually gotten sick since I started that.

Try not to worry too much...often times kids get fevers even when we don't. FWIW my dd 18mo just had a fever for 24 hours...and I felt dizzy and headachy but otherwise no temperature!

Dh is running out to get some vit D. I'm all stuffed up and what's worse, my nausea is back. I lost it when I saw the last poopy diaper from ds...thank goodness dh is good at taking care of that when I need him to. The zinc lozenges were making me feel more nauseous too...not sure why. My next appt with my OB is on Thursday...I wonder how they feel about me showing up with a cold. I know everyone's paranoid about the flu now.

Just getting over a 3 day head cold. Had a fever of 100.5 for a day and a night. I chose not to take anything for it. Just suffer through it like a good mama!! I know from past pregnancies and talking to midwives that tylenol is ok to help with pain. As long as your fever doesn't get over 102 in the first trimester you are ok. If my fever had gotten worse I would have considered taking a Tylenol cold med. The benefit would have definitely outweighed the risk. (I'm still in my first trimester)Hope you stay well! Being sick and pregnant is no fun.
