Flying with a 12 month Old

I am going to be flying to the Bahamas with my 12 month old in February. I will be traveling with her alone. Just wondering if people had any suggestions to make this as easy as possible for me. I plan on carrying her in the ERGO much of the time, but she crawls and is working on walking so I am nervous about the flight. I didn't purchase an extra seat, so she will be sitting in my lap. Any suggestions on a couple good toys that might keep her interest when she is awake?? Any suggestions are welcome!!

I just got back from a trip alone with my 3 month old and was SO GLAD to have brought the stroller. I carried her through most of the airports but needed a safe place to put her while I used the restroom. Strollers can be gate checked for no fee, so I used it to tote around my carryon bags and water. I was in 4 airports and didn't see a single restroom with a child seat in the stall. Some didn't even have a changing table or family restroom (though most did). One plane didn't have a changing table either. It was the floor or empty seats. Just FYI.

I agree with PP about letting other people play with the LO. I certainly felt less on edge after DD had made some friends on the plane. And people seemed ok with her fussing a bit or fidgeting after she had been all smiles and eyelashes kwim?

Oh, and if you usually use cloth, blowouts seem to be more common with 'sposies. We went through 3 changes of clothes for the LO, and if I could have changed on the plane I would have.

Good luck! We haven't gotten to that age yet so I'm not too sure on toys, but hopefully you get good suggestions here.
