I'm still somewhat new to CD and I've been usin the Flip by BumGenius, but now I realize I need a few more diapers to really be able to do laundry without worrying that I'm going to run out (which I have done a couple times now). I wanted to try different diapers though, half for fun, and half to see what else it out there. Should I try getting a couple different ones, or should I just stick with the kind of diaper I'm already using? What have you ladies done? Thanks for any and all help/suggestions.

We are in the same situation as you, just starting to CD and using the Flips. Love the Flips, but didn't order enough for a full stash. Was thinking of ordering more Flips, and some fitteds (heard the flip covers work well with fitteds too). Cottonbabies is having a sale on bg bamboo fitteds for about $7 each, so I was going to try some of those. Also maybe a couple BG 3.0 OS and Fuzzibunz OS. I think I am starting to have WAY too much fun with this, there are so many different kinds out there to try!!

It depends... My big moto is if it aint broke don't change it... IF the flips are ideal I'd go for another pack of those or maybe if you want a little extra maybe some organic AIOs from bumgenius since I believe they will work very much like the flip with an all together convience..
However if you are itching for other things and are willing to risk getting sucked into cloth diaper buying frenzy
then go ahead have fun...

I just started CDing my DD in December. I did a diaper trial (which I highly recommend if you want to try lots of new stuff without a big cost investment!), so they sent me about 8 different things to try. Armed with the knowledge of what I liked or didn't like, I returned most of them and went in search of my dream diaper. Now I have: Flip, Smartipants, Rumparooz, BumGenius, Tiny Tush, Knickernappies, Rocky Mountain, Thirsties, and a bunch of prefolds/covers!
Although I had planned to have a "stash" of all one kind of diaper, I kind of like the variety, and I love everything I bought. To me it's nice to have different dipes for different situations--some are trimmer than others, some are great for overnight, some are great for when you're expecting a huge poop any minute. I do love my Flip...might get a few more of those.

Thank you for you inputs. I've decided to try a pocket diaper that's on sale at my local diaper store and I've been wanting to try out the gro baby diapers for awhile now and I found some on sale, so I'm going to try those as well. I figure if it doesn't work out, I'll sell them and then get something different. I think I'm getting sucked into the obsession of CD. lol =P

My entire stash is BG 3.0 and I love them. I like having just one kind because you don't have to worry about washing certain ones with others. I got a free growbaby from a contest and the tabs come apart in the wash and stick really hard to my BG. If he wears the growbaby I have to wash it in a dryer baggy thing.

Personally I like trying more things... and my baby was chubby so the Bum Genius/Flip sizing didn't fit her very well once she was 6 months... although I mostly use flats for economical reasons, I really like fitteds with wool bottoms. Firefly, Elbee, and Motherease have been our favorite fitteds. Have fun!!!
