Lose 5 lbs by Valentine's Day!

Okay,I'm slow...here we are 2 weeks into the New Year and I'm STILL eating Christmas candy
Does anyone want to join me in my quest to lose 5 lbs (in whatever healthful way that is easiest for you) by Valentine's Day?

The only reason I didn't join the Jan thread was because Jan is halfway through and I'm just starting. I didn't want to push myself to lose 5 lbs in 2 weeks...Valentine's Day is an easier goal : )

I'll join! Im stuck in a plateau of sorts, and 5 pounds in a month sounds doable! I hope!

Our team is growing!
Okay, so this is what I'm doing...lots and lots of fluids.
At least two cups of tea, two bottles of Master Cleanse and miso during the day.
I am having veggies, fruits and minimal starch stuff. Cutting out wheat as I am sensitive. I am vegetarian so I stick to beans and nuts as protein.

Here's what I'm doing:

I'm eating primal. No grains, no root veggies, trying to cut down on dairy, low carb, lots of protein and healthy fats.

Stats:

Started at 191 lbs
Current weight 159 lbs
Goal weight 135 lbs

Heaviest weight: 146
Now: 141
Long term Goal: 125

I have eliminated most grains. I do have them occasionally, but only in am, and whole wheat.
Drinking lots of water, eating healthy fats and lots of proteins.

yes, i'm in! i'm been trying to lose weight since thanksgiving and i'm stuck!

heaviest weight - 140
current - 135
goal - 120 or 125

i exercise daily (jogging) and just changed my diet a week ago. for lent, my dh and i will be on a daniel fast, so i imagine that will help a lot too.

I am in!

I am not posting my stats ....even online where the vast majority of you do not know me, lol.

I can do 5 by Valentines.

Here is my very sensible plan:

3 meals and 1 snack a day - totalling about 1800-2000 calories. Most calories to come from healthy food, only a few from junk.

Exercise everyday for 15 minutes. It will probably be on the indoor bike as it is cold out there!

Ugh. I'm gonna try. I'm not promising anything cause I have a pretty stubborn body, but this will help me keep accountability of my life changes.

Heaviest weight: 161
Current: 156
Goal: 140

I started eating "cleaner" these last couple of weeks and was already regularly exercising (three days a week for at least 45 mins).
Added coconut oil to the diet. Started it for skin health, but maybe it will help with weight too.
And water. Always drinking lots of water.

We'll see. Good luck to all! Happy weight losing!!

If I don't post to this thread again it's cause I feel like a miserable failure.

Am I too late to join you? I want to loose 5 by Valentines Day! I did the Master Cleanser (did 6 days and finished last Friday) and lost a bit on that. I only gained back 2 of the pounds that I lost (yahoo).
Anywho... 5 pounds by Feb. 14. I like that goal. That is just barely over 1 pound a week. Lets do this!!

I am 172 pounds. My year goal is to get to 140.
Short goal is 167 by Feb. 14th.
I will get there by drinking tons of water. Drinking my shake every morning and getting in a workout 5 days a week. (starting out slow, it has been a year)
Start tracking my calories. (will set calorie intake goal later)

What will I reward myself with? New shoes.

Ooooohhhh......new shoes!

I would like kick a$$ boots that go up to near my knees to wear with a skirt (I am a bit off from those though)or nice high heels that makes me look even taller, or a great sandal (I have never owned a birkenstock...hmmmm)

Any ideas for low calorie or healthy snacks that satisfy?

I am having a cup of hot chocolate as we speak, and loving it!

I have also been enjoying a bit of granola over French vanilla yoghurt with a chopped up apple. I do admit I put about 1 tsp of real maple syrup over it (thank you MIL!!!) and it is so good and almost a meal! If you added some pecans it probably would be a meal .

Can I join in? I don't want to lose weight per se, I want to lose inches off of my waist. The rest of my body is fine with me. So here is my current waist measurement:

The thickest part of my belly, relaxed measurement-- no sucking in: 37 inches
My natural waist (smallest part) relaxed measurement, no sucking in: 34 inches

This is where I need to lose weight. I will be doing the Primal Diet and doing whatever kind of exercise I feel like doing and have time for (lol). Can't wait to get a skinny waist!
