Ferber method reference on House??

Hi all,
Do any of you watch House? Did anyone else catch the reference to the Ferber method being bad on last night's episode??

Its crazy because I haven't seen that show since right after DS was born and the first episode I watch has a Ferberizing reference! One of the characters is looking at a parenting magazine and makes some comment about how they used to say the Ferber method was good, but now they say it's not.

I wonder who snuck that in there!?

i saw that too. i have also caught references to all kinds of other stuff that you wouldnt expect on national telelvision. i like how they sneak that stuff in there.

But Modern Family sort of validated it. One father was very against it, but more because he was emotional/weak/papa bearish. It was all about the other dad getting him to stop going in to their daughter. So frustrating! They adopt this beautiful girl and then let her cry. There was one line about "By you going in there you're teaching her whenever she cries, dad will always be right there." But he said it like that was a BAD thing. Space aliens! I'd love to see him call 911 for his hurt ankle and have the firemen tell him they can't come, it will just teach him to keep asking when he needs help. I know, he and his sister (and everyone on the show, really) are supposed to be crazy and not role models, but it still gets out there in the culture, you know? Maddening, as Ferber himself has denounced that practice.

ANYway this makes me excited to catch up on my DVR'd House!
