I like Lee. He didn't have a great night but what on earth were the judges hearing when we were suffering through the most painful, desperate version of Black Velvet I have ever heard (and I have heard a LOT of drunk girls versions of Black Velvet so that should tell you something)? That was HORRIBLE.

I don't know why Lee picked his first song, his second song is just a song I don't like and I've never heard a version I like (yes, I know, no one is supposed to admit that but I just did), and then Beautiful Day is such a BIG, EXUBERANT song and he didn't quite go for it.

Crystal is just boring to me. She's got her thing going on and she does it really well but she's boring. She sings exactly what I expect, exactly how I expect her to every time.

I'm sorry Siobhan couldn't hold it together or didn't have enough experience or whatever. At least she MIGHT have come out and done something different every week.

Please, AI Powers That Be, force Kara into early retirement. Please.

I loved Siobhan too. I've been pulling for Lee all along and I'm really not sure who's going to win. Maybe some of you already know. I don't vote.

So am I the only one who didn't care for either Lee's version of Hallelujah or Lee and Crystal's version of Falling Slowly? I kind of feel like what like about those two songs was changed in their versions, but the judges absolutely loved them. I actually bought Kris Allen's version of Falling Slowly last year.

I wanted Crystal to win, but I have to admit that her vocal style is not my favorite. But I just found Lee boring and felt like his voice just wasn't as strong as it should be, and I didn't like his style much either. On one of his songs, I felt like the note was just a hair under the pitch, and I found that rather unpleasant, but that's probably related to the recording and sound set up. The winner's voices always seem to get better once they win, and if Lee sings a song I like, I'd buy it. I hated David Archuleta, but I did buy one of his songs.

I thought Crystal did a great job on Black Velvet--I mean it wasn't the same version I've heard in karaoke bars the country over. But, yeah, it was kind of edgy in a harsh way--still not as bad as some of the stuff Siobhan did with the screaming at the end, which I didn't enjoy in most cases.

Was anyone else CRINGING when Paula was onstage? I could tell Ryan couldnt WAIT for her skit to be OVER. It was kinda painful.

She was with it this time, but there is something going on with that woman. She is not well.

Lee is such a dud. I'm really disappointed he won. I really thought this year would go to a female. Here's an interesting article that suggests the producers/execs/powers-that-be pushed Lee over Crystal to viewers.

Lee is a DUD? NOOOO! I love him..but I know it's all a matter of opinion. Crystal will do fine! I liked them both and will probably buy both of their albums, but I think Lee grew the most and deserved to win.

I wanted Crystal to win, but I'm just hoping that this means she'll have more control of her career now and she'll go FAR! I kinda don't see Lee having a huge career. We'll see, though.

Well... Maybe dud is too strong! I'm just bitter cause I really like Crystal. I hope they both have successful careers.

hehehe, dud seems kind of appropriate. I like Lee, he seems like a nice guy, but I thought his performances were boring, and he sometimes had pitch problems. He never stood out on the radar to me as being great. But at least he sings better than Casey, so I'm glad it was him and not the other way around.
