Avett and I just survived our first night of sleeping with him COMPLETELY away from my chest! I'm so excited! The breakdown went as follows:
8:30 - 10:30: I slept ril good while daddy held him
11:40 - 12:40: slept next to me in snugglenest unswaddled (I actually just laid him down there for a second to go to the bathroom, and when I came out he was asleep! So random and unexpected for him! So I left him there)
1 - 2:30: Swaddled him and he slept for the very first time in his pack and play bassinet!
5 - 6: another hr in the bassinet, even though he chatted through most of it
6 - 8:30: a marathon session in his swing, still swaddled
I was determined to break him of the chest habit last night, and he exceeded all of my expectations. My sleep wasn't the greatest since he did a lot of talking and noise making in these places, and also I rarely got more than 2 hrs at a time, but still - we are MAKING PROGRESS and I am so proud of him and me!!!!
