DDC crashing?

Thread Starter
I frequently see people refer to DDC crashing. Why is this? Are you not supposed to answer questions from those in a DDC unless you are in their DDC? I find posts to respond to when I have time via the 'new threads' tool, so I don't really pay attention to where they are posted, just answer questions I have experiences with. Am I being rude? Just checking. Thanks

Hello!

It is ok to post in a DDC even if you aren't a member of that DDC. Sometimes there are questions that people have that might get a better answer if there is a wider variety of respondents.

It seems like there is a line, if someone is just trying to be nice and helpful then I am sure it is fine. If someone is being judgmental and questioning someone's decisions then that probably is rude.

I've said I'm DDC crashing before b/c I don't belong since I'm not pregnant and due when they are, yk? It's their own club, so I think it's just a disclaimer some people like to add. I only have done it a few times like to say congrats if I see someone I recognizes birth announcement via new posts, but it's in their DDC. I think a lot of people post in their DDC, because they want to share it with their pregnancy buddies -- otherwise they would post it in the main pregnancy, birth, parenting, etc., forum.
