Newborn pants

I was going through the baby clothes that we accumulated from when DS was a baby and I wasn't finding very many bottom - mainly sleepers and sleep-n-plays. Seeing that baby #2 is due in February, it's still pretty cold where we're at and I'd like to have a few more pairs on hand.

What are your favorite bottoms for a newborn? I've got a couple of pairs from ON and just order two more pairs on Ebay from Carter's. Have you seen any good sales lately?

This might not help you (not sure where you are from), but I buy DD's co-ordinates from Superstore (Joe band). All the tops and bottoms, sleepers, and separates are all the same colours and combinations of colours so they are really easy to mix and match, so if babe has a poo-nami, you can easily replace the bottoms with another without having to change the whole outfit.

my fave is zutano

I like pants that have closed feet - that way you don't have to worry about getting socks to stay on the tiny toes!

I have a couple of pairs from old navy and I think target as well. Congrats!

I like wool on the babe, myself.

Oh I love Zutano too... I bought so many cute ones for DS, but they are so small He grew out of them in no time. His going home outfit was Zutano, and he only fit in it that ONE time.. so sad!

I am actually not a fan of pants though. I hate pulling them on/off to change diapers for one thing, and also DS has a big fluffy cloth diaper bum, so if he's gonna wear pants, they have to be a size too big, and then he looks like he is drowing.

We like babylegs. Dont have to mess with anything for a diaper change, and they are so darn cute too. You'll get a lot more use out of the solid color ones than the patterns, even though the patterns are so tempting.

I just bought some for our new baby at Babies R Us. They are the First Years by Carter brand (I think, they might be Gerber.) I remember LOVING pants for the newborn stage with my first two so I invested in several pairs (some size newborn for right away, but most 0-3m)

The Children's Place, Gymboree and Naartjie are amongst my favorite children's clothing stores. And, they are all having big sales right now. Carter's makes super cute little pants, as well (they usually come in 2-packs). And, Target has much of the baby department on clearance right now.

Poo-nami...ha ha!

My fave is a pair of babylegs under the lightweight Carters pants. American Apparel Karate pants are great too.

We had lots of Carter's sleep-n-plays and footed pants. My girl had (still has) super chubby legs so they were a good fit. And it's always good not to have to worry about socks on tiny feet!

I love American Apparel, but the smallest they come in is 3-6 months and by then, it's going to be too warm where I live for pants anyhow. I think I might get some for Fall/Winter.

I'm gonna have to check out Carter's. The closest one to my house is a good 45 minute drive, but if they're have a sale, it might be worth it.

If you're cloth diapering, most of the Hanna Andersson pants have extra space in the rear to accommodate a big 'ol but, same with the Kate Quinn infant pants.

I'm trying out baby legs for the first time today, we'll see how it goes....I'm worried she's going to be cold, but so far so good.

We love pants like these.
But from another thread here I suddenly had the impression that they are not common in the US.
Those are organic wool, and my favs. But we get those in cotton too, everywhere.

Love Hanna Andersson, but have to find those on sale! I also have found the ones I have run a little small (not pants, it's the one piece pajamas without feet).

I love the ones mentioned above, but for a budget these at Target seem nice. In the store they are only $4 each and seem to have a nice wide bum for diapers and are soft.

I'm a big fan of the Carters cotton knit pants.

We use the Carter's pants 2-packs. We just keep buying them in bigger sizes. They're great!

I just bought 5 pairs on Ebay yesterday. I used them with DS#1 quite a bit, for some reason I must've gotten rid of them in a garage sale or something. Cannot find them for the life of me. Oh well - nothing wrong with buying some new stuff for the new guy.
