I am very interested in home-schooling or unschooling my kids rather than sending them to school in a few years, they are 1 and 3 right now. I have always felt that I would love to do it and that it is really the best thing I could do for them as well, but I just hadn't made an absolute decision yet. However, last night after attending a little talk featuring a renowned unschooling mother and speaker I felt so inspired and became convinced that there is almost no way I can't do it, it just seems so natural and right and not to mention, like so much fun, spending those years with my kids and helping and watching them discover the world.
But I will get to the point of my question...I guess the only thing really holding me back from knowing 100% that I want to do this, and hopefully this doesn't sound selfish, is that I always envisioned myself having some sort of career, not a 9-5 office job per se, but that I would find something I really loved doing, become really good at it and make a living doing that, I was attempting to pursue that path up until a few years ago when I first became pregnant, exploring possible careers, but then motherhood happened and is of course the greatest blessing and I have been fortunate enough to have the financial support of my partner so that I have been able to devote myself to that full time. But, I imagined that once my kids were older and in school I would have a chance again to develop that side of myself and my life. So that is where homeschooling gets tricky. I know people homeschool and work, generally with a home-based business I guess. I am like 98% there, I am just curious about this.
I would love to hear others' thoughts and/or experiences. thanks.

(such as raw milk, produce, etc), but I wouldn't have to leave home for that.
