Why do "they" say thinner women can feel their babies move earlier? - Page 2

I first feel my babies move from the outside... late. I usually can't feel movememnt without my hand pressing on my belly until after 20 wks or so....

And I am not particularly big. I think just every mom feels movement a bit differently and the correlation with size is BS

I am thin (5'10" and ~135) and felt DD at 10 weeks - DH felt her from the outside at 16 weeks, though I'm sure it would have been earlier, since you could see her move at that point. And yes, she's still really active and never stops moving.

I don't think there is a correlation- but I don't know . I only have this, my first pregnancy to judge by. I didn't feel movement until 22 weeks and 4 days. Pre pregnancy I was 120 lbs and 5 ft 3 and pretty fit and muscular. I guess I have pretty good strong core muscles, and my midwife seems to think that my strong abs kept me from feeling the baby till then. But I have felt it every day since it started, so I figure the baby just had to get big enough for me to feel.
