Easy dress patterns?

I would love to make DD an Easter dress while on maternity leave. I am NOT an experienced seamstress. Anyone have any suggestions? Websites would be great

To me there is nothing easier, sweeter and more classic than a simple A line dress. I've made tons for dd. You can find any number of patterns from McCall, Simplicity, Butterrick. Actually Joann's will have Simplicity pattern on sale for $.99 starting next week.
I don't know of any online tutorials though.

I agree, a simple a-line is great. It can be dressed up or down and also paired w/a pretty cardigan for cooler weather, etc...

I will probably be doing Easter dresses this year for my girls, too. I'm either doing an a-line or this one http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M2...hildren&page=9 for my youngest. I like that it has the cardigan/jacket and no zipper (scared of them! lol! Much prefer buttons or snaps!)

Anyway, good luck!

Thanks ladies! I've been eyeing some Peter Rabbit fabric and wondering how I can use it.

I just sewed the tiny version of this dress for dd's doll and it worked well. I plan on sewing up a matching one for her for her birthday in April: http://madebyrae.blogspot.com/2008/0...ly-not-as.html
