DS with Sun and Moon in Pisces

Someone tell me the positive aspects of this. Every time I tell someone this they act like it's an awful thing - more prone to addictions, more manipulative, etc. At the end of my pregnancy I looked at the calendar and just knew that my son would be born on this certain day because that would make his sun and moon in Pisces. I was thinking of all the positives - more laid-back, mellow, intuitive, etc.

Anyone have any insights for me?

I'm a Pisces, and many of my favorite people in the world are as well. i have always hoped for a Pisces baby one day!
The aspects of Pisces that I see as dominant in myself (and others) are the intuitive, creative, quiet, thoughtful, emotional (good and bad i suppose..but i think being able to express emotions is much better than holding them in) healer, good listener, dreamer (in such a way as to be very good at manifestation!)

My mom says that as a child i never cried, i was this peaceful baby carriage baby. i think i went through a rough time at 3-5 or so, but my brother was very sick at the time and i think i just felt it all too much. being overwhelmed and having no way to express it has been a challenge for me over the years because i am so sensitive to other peoples energy.

in a lot of ways i think that these characteristics of horoscopes are valid, but i think you have to take a step back and not label or worry that your child will turn out a certain way because of the sign they are born under.

you are blessed to be expecting a Pisces baby!!

Ahhhh... That sounds wonderful! Thank you for the insights. Incidentally, I felt exactly that way all throughout the pregnancy. He's almost a year now - so I'm not expecting, he's already here
I have to say I felt very blessed to have a Pisces until people around me started filling me in on the negative aspects. I think I will choose to focus on the positive.

I think you are right about horoscopes as well - they are not a be all, end all sort of thing. It's good to be reminded of that.

I have a Pisces Sun DD.

With both Sun and Moon in the same sign, your DS has a double dose of Pisces. So you are right, he will probably develop/display strong intuition, creativity, and an ability to be self-entertained.

Your DS was born around a New Moon. That is when the Sun and the Moon are in the same place in the sky. If he was born before the New Moon, his moon will be a lower degree number than his Sun. If he was born after the New Moon, his Moon will have a higher degree number. Make sense? I'm talking about the 30 degree's that make up each sign. So both planets fall between 0 and 29 degree's in the sign of Pisces. If they are within 8 degree's of each other it is considered a conjunction. The closer together they are the stronger this conjunction. Some astrologers will go out to 10 degrees apart for the Sun and/or Moon because they are personal planets. This page has a description for both Sun and Moon in Pisces.

If you want more of an idea how this might manifest in your DS's life, determine if the Moon is a waning/basalmic or a dark/new moon. That will have a strong impact as well. Here is another website from an astrologer that I've used to further my own studies via self-study. This particular post is about the dark moon phases.

Pisces' are beautiful. Be sure to nurture his sensitive, creative little spirit.

Well, yes. Pisces are more prone to vices but I think with the right guidance they can have healthy addictions. I'm a pisces and have a few family members that are alcoholics, I'll have a drink now and then but my mother instilled self control. (For the most part, you cant' keep me away from mountain dew!) I've got a pisces baby on the way and I'm excited. They're very in tune with everything. I recommend the Baby's Astrologer by Chrissie Blaze. It helps you understand each sign with rising signs and moon signs and how they typically develop mentally and physically from birth all the way up to toddler.
