I had planned to wean my 7 mo old son last month, but because he still wakes every 2 hours to nurse, I keep postponing it for another month, and then another month. Now I'm looking at Feb. Starting solids a couple of weeks ago has not helped him sleep through the night, as my pediatrician had suggested it would. I just can't imagine weaning if he still wakes up every 2-3 hours because my nights would be awful if I had to actually get up and prepare a bottle versus side lying nursing where I can at least sleep and not be a zombie during the day.
I'm 45 and want to try for baby #2 (frozen embryos) and have to have two periods before the dr will attemp the transfer, and time is running out with my "advanced" age in case the FET doesn't work.
Any advice?
Also, how do I introduce a sippy cup or a bottle? Should I try to substitute a nursing with a sippy cup or offer it in between nursings?
