Yep, my gut instinct was right. Conner needs glasses. I have noticed him squinting and wanting to sit close to the TV. At first I thought the TV was a normal phase. But combined with his trouble learning to read, I decided to make an appointment with the optometrist. We went last night and she found his Distance at 20/20. But near vision is 20/60 in both eyes.
So they are finding out what our insurance will cover. Then we go back and pick out glasses. The Doc said he really only needs them for the classroom, library, watching TV, homework etc. But she said he seemed to be straining for his Distance.
She said it is possible for him to outgrow this. But I kind of questioned it because both my husband and I have such terrible vision. Both sides of the family is like this.
