Spotting mid cycle - breastfeeding related?

I am nursing my 18 mo old and seem to be spotting mid cycle. Pink/brownish discharge almost like the end of a period. Very light but there for a few days at a time. Is this breastfeeding related? I called my ob a few months back and he didnt seem concerned but I would like to hear if anybody else has experienced this when breastfeeding.

I bet you're having a bit of spotting when you ovulate, which is common.

Ok, I had this with DD1 but only once, apparently some women spot when they ovulate and I believe I read somewhere that if you spot when you ovulate it could mean a really fertile egg type thing.

Beware, just vague memories because I spotted when ovulating and then 8 weeks later found out I was pregnant and it matched the spotting.

I knew before then because I had been doing some digging on ovulating and spotting and just kinda hoped it wasn't true and then it was...... Ha ha..... Now I have a 4 year old plus a 5 year old and then it all happened again and I have a 1 year old as well.......

Anyway, if you are wanting to have another, this could be a good sign about your fertility, if you don't want another it could be a bad sign lol.

LOL yes - I am pretty darn sure that I am ovulating. And truly I have been spotting ONLY midcycle around ovulation - It's a little annoying but I guess it's good to know that it can be normal. I am being careful. Not sure if we are done or not - but i am sure not ready for another one now

i've been noticing a similar thing, probably around ovulation as well, i have also been wondering if it means i'm more fertile, i've noticed other signs of increased fertility. we're being careful...ha ha, my son doesn't go to bed before we do most nights, so there's very little opportunity for caution to be thrown to the wind!

Same thing is happening for me. Dd is almost 18 mos now. I spotted last week, just four day after my period and sgsin yesterday. I notice my milk supply seems to be dwindling as well. I wonder if its all hormone related.
