Hi all,
I have been posting about my queries regarding CLO recently. I am currently using Nordic Naturals CLO which has all the Vitamin D filtered out. So I supplement with Carlson's D drops. I have low D so I need to take a minimum of 4000IU per day anyway. If I switch to Blue Ice fermented CLO like some have recommended, the D there is not filtered out, but still is below the 4000IU I need per day, 1 tsp is only 1950IU. So I would still have to take a supplemental source.
That said, if I have to keep using the Carlson's supplement anyway, do you think it really matters if I use the NN or the Blue Ice brand, since I am basically taking the CLO for the EFAs and not for the Vitamin D? The reasons I am stuck on NN are 1.) I can get it much cheaper than the Blue Ice and 2.) I am allergic to cranberries and all the Blue Ice flavors use Cranberry seed extract except the unflavored, which I just checked and it is out of stock until an unknown date.
