Mitten Pattern - suggestions?

I've lost the mittens I made for myself last year (I am still hoping they pop up) but alas, my fingers are cold.

So I am looking for a fun knit for adult mittens. I don't mind either color work or cables. I do prefer worsted or heavier yarn though.

I have a couple things queued on Ravelry, but maybe someone here might have that "perfect" pair for me.

These are what I am replacing (if you are on Ravelry) & if not, here they are on Flickr.

I have been knitting these and they are fun and pretty fast as well. I just used 2 strands of ww.

I think I pretend they don't come from "that movie." I've actually eyed them a couple times. I wonder if I have something yummy in my stash that would work for them.

And I already have plans to alter them. I really can't seem to NOT modify a pattern unless I am test knitting for a designer.

Oh, I like those too. They also reminded me that I have Kate Gilbert's Bird in Hand queued, although I know I'd change the wrist on the BiH.

Hmm, I think I need to make a WIP and WIM list with deadlines (thanks to all the babies everyone keeps having around me).

I have neither read nor watched the twilight series- but I still love the mittens.

I've got Bella's mittens queue'd too.

I also have Celtic Moonrise Mittens queue'd - I know the designer, and while I haven't knit them yet, they got raves from her test knitters. Pretty, too.

I made bella mittens for myself over christmas. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Juvysen/bellas-mittens (non-rav http://www.flickr.com/photos/14868079@N05/4256333409 ) I didn't do the full length cuff b/c Ididn't need them that long, but I'm happy w/the result. they are done with bulky yarn, too, so it's a quick knit...

I have Celtic Moon queued too.

I am pretty sure that I am going to do Bella, heavily modified. And I know I'll be doing a colorwork type mitten - either my own design or a hodge podge of others.

But I found my jacket and mittens so not so desperate. Of course, the first time I wore the mittens this winter, a friend saw them and requested a pair.

There are times like this where I wished I didn't work full time and had more time to knit.
