3yo with ataxia- carseat question

my three year old is going to outgrow her seat soon. Any recs for a good seat that will fit her for a loooong time? Does medicaid cover something like that? I don't think it does, so something not too expensive would be better. Thanks!

Unless your child can't fit in seats that are currently on the market, you probably won't be able to get any reimbursement for a carseat.

But here are a few options:

under $80--Evenflo Maestro, available only at Sears or Sears.com, forward facing combo seat goes up to 50 lbs (taller slots than Generations 65)

under $100--Evenflo Generations 65, available only at Babies R Us or BabiesRUs.com, forward facing combo seat goes up to 65 lbs

under $175 (often on sale)--Graco Nautilus, available Wal-Mart, Target, BRU/TRU, on line, etc, forward facing combo seat goes up to 65 lbs (tallest slots) (right now--$154 at Target + get a $20 Target gift card back=$134)

A few more options--rearfacing is still safest and maybe your lo still fits this way (most kids do until they are 40" tall or so...):

under $100--Safety First Avenue, available only at Kmart or Kmart.com, up to 35 lbs rearfacing and 40 lbs forward facing, really tall seat

under $150--Evenflo Triumph Advance, available everywhere pretty much, up to 35 lbs rearfacing and 50 lbs forward facing, will last kids till they are old enough and big enough to use a high back booster seat

under $150--Graco My Ride, available everywhere, too, up to 40 lbs rearfacing and 65 lbs forward facing, will also last kids till they are old enough and big enough to use a high back booster seat
