Need help with Charlie's and stain removal.

I switched to Charlie's soap over a year ago for cloth diapers, but we really like it for everything. Never had a problem until now. I have a new baby (still no problems with diapers) but the Charlie's is not getting breast milk out of my or babies clothes. The stain is still visible AND it smells. Not good. I don't see myself wanting to stain treat every time i leak a little or baby spits up since I didn't have to do this with my first child (at the time i was just using a cheap detergent like Purex or something).

Besides that, my toddler is definitely getting tougher stains on her clothes and they aren't coming out as well either.

I have a small washer and still use the full amount of Charlies (i tried less, didn't work). I also use Zout and have tried Tide STain Release, which did not work at all. I'm guessing Charlies doesn't have the right stuff in it to work with the Tide. Anyway, I need some tips. I really thought Charlies would work on the breast milk, but it's not.

I use Charlie's too. I don't have their all-purpose cleaner, so instead I just dissolved a scoop of the detergent in a spray bottle with water. As I'm putting the clothes into the machine I give each piece a quick glance and spray if necessary before I toss it in. I've yet to have a stain not come out!

I'm thinking about doing the same with some 7th generation liquid I have lying around, just to use it up. It has enzymes in it, which are good for certain kinds of stains.

Dunno if you use the liquid or powder Charlies, but I often find that just scrubbing some of the laundry liquid on stains with a little scrub brush helps (we use the powder for the bulk of washing) helps. If we don't have the charlies, I'll use another similar liquid detergent.

Breastmilk stains can be pretty stubborn though, sunning helps alot. I've heard about using lemon juice, and I'll admit to soaking or spot treating with oxiclean for those stains if they really bug me.
