Can I have some positive vibes for my cat?

My 6yr kitty, Abbey, had some skin inflammation under her nose which hasnt gone away or gotten any better. We took her in today and our vet suggested doing a biopsy to test for squamous cell carcinoma.

The sample had to be couriered a province over, so we wont get test results for close to a week (stupid weekend messing things up). We havent told the kids that theres a possibility of cancer, just that she had some tests done.
We thought we would wait until we knew exactly what we're dealing with.

I'm kinda freaking out here. Any btdt; positive vibes; prayers; etc would greatly be appreciated. I cant imagine losing her.

Just remember its your vets job to think of every possibility...and at this point its just as likely to not be cancer as it is to be cancer, right?

I'm hoping you get clear results as early as possible. A week is insane!

Thank You!

I'm going to start calling monday to see if they've heard anything. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I will DEFINITELY be thinking of you and your kitty. I personally went through this, feline nasal squamous cell carcinoma. Well, my kitty did. Best wishes for you both!

Thank You Both!

How was the outcome, buckeye_bebe?

Leta, how was yours?

I'm thinking positive. I just need to be prepared for the worst. Prepare for the worst; hope for the best. Its usually how I get thru most things in life. I'm really hoping they might have some info for me tomorrow. I doubt it, the "specimen" only got there thursday, who knows if they were able to get to it right away or friday?

She's going good now. Not liking her "cone of shame" at all. The dog keeps whimpering around her and the other cats dont seem to like her "new look" either. But she has to keep it on until her stitches can come out next week. She's so smart though. If the kids are sitting on the floor, she'll stick her cone on their foot so she can rub her face against their toes, lol. Resourceful little kitty.

I just want her to be okay.

It's not cancer!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!

Its just a skin infection and she'll need some antibiotics. Oh, I'm so happy.

Thank you all for your thoughts and encouragment. I know it helped.
