I just wanted to gush to someone who would understand my enthusiasm, lol.
I bought my very first ring sling earlier this week! It's made by a local mama, which makes me feel good, and it's pretty in a simple way - it's a natural linen colored cotton with deep bronze rings. I had been eyeballing her batiks for a few months, but just felt I wanted something more understated. Went in looking for a solid black but fell in love with the natural colored one I ended up buying.
Struggled for the first two days getting the hang of keeping my rails straight in the rings and how to loosen/tighten while wearing DS, but we have got it DOWN now! We live in this thing, at this point. I don't know why it took me so many years to try a ring sling - but it's the same with my cloth diapers, lol - on my LAST baby I discover all this great stuff I had been missing out on! Which isn't to say I don't love my tried-and-true adjustable fleece pouch, or either of my mei tais or my Ergo, they all have their place in my heart - but my simple ring sling is simply genius!!!
