Pillow in crib...

Yes, we hear from the beginning that we aren't supposed to have anything in the crib with our kiddos. During the timeframe in transistioning him from co-sleeping to his own crib we started laying him on a pillow from his torso on up. Kept him on his back and felt like we were still holding him. He's 20 months and of course adjusts his pillow, blankie and bear to his liking at night.

My real question is not regarding the safety of it but do you think this is okay for his alignment, his back and posture. Any negative effects? The pillow is a pretty flat regular sized pillow.
Thanks ladies!

It doesn't sound like to me it should be an issue- but if you are really concerned you could consult with a chiropractor.
