Where is my period!?!?

Exclusively breastfed my son for the first three months. Cut down to about 1/2 time breastfeeding at 3 months, and now I breastfeed him twice a day - in the morning in bed and at night in bed.

Everyone I've talked to says as soon as they stopped exclusively breastfeeding, they got a period. And even while exclusively breastfeeding, they had a period after 5 - 7 months. My son will be 5 months soon, and I've had a couple instances of light, light spotting for a day or two.

My hormones are a total wreck and have been since baby was born. My skin is awful - broken out everywhere, even on my back now! It's like I'm 16 again! I have this outrageous sex drive that my DF can't even come close to keeping up with, and my chocolate cravings are insane. I just want to feel NORMAL and I think having a period might help that. When will AF just arrive already??

Check out

Herbs Etc Cycle 1 Estotonic and Cycle 2 Progestonic. I don't know the safety of it regarding BF, but it shouldn't be hard to look up or find out about. The product saved me following 66 days of bleeding and hair loss from the Depo shot.

I bottle fed my ds#1 and only pumped for 4 months. I did not get my period back until 12 month, then it was only every other month. Came back full swing at 18 months. With ds#2, who was bf (and I pumped at work) until 10 months, my period came back at 18 months, no every other month thing this time.

Each woman is different, it will come back when it comes back.

I stopped ebf at 7 months. Ds is now almost 15 months & still no af. I nightweaned over Christmas & haven't seen any sign of af yet.

I think it varies greatly from woman to woman.

Thanks. Boo. I need these hormones to regulate. I'm a disaster!

I have encapsulated placenta pills from DS's birth 5 months ago in the freezer. I wonder if taking them would help (or hurt) regulate things? Maybe I'll experiment a little, but I'm really scared to mess around with hormones. I've never taken any form of hormone birth control and I feel like tampering with hormones artificially can really mess you up permanently. Bah. Wish there was a clear solution.

I got my period back after DD1 was born at 4 weeks. With DD2 (who I breastfed for a brief period), I got it back at about 6 weeks. It's just taking forever now.

I got my period back with DS1 at 9 months (started solids at 7.5 but 9ish was when he started actually eating a decent amount).

I really don't know whats going on with me right now - DS2 is 5.5 months old, and I swear to you I had a period at 8wks pp... but have taken a couple pregnancy tests and all negative since. So, I'm assuming I"m not preggo. But part of me is still worried. So yeah.
