But, anyway, I'd get an EEG asap. Call and make sure they have one planned for when she's seeing the neuro, I wouldn't wait, it can take so long sometimes. A sleep deprived one is a good thing.
I understand- and we carry rectal diazepam. We were able to get it after an epilepsy diagnosis and my toddler going into status epilepticus- with NOTHING to treat it with.
I'm not disagreeing, just saying that that's what I've seen here.

We got the diazpam rectal gel Rx filled, they had us get it because hers are lasting longer than "normal"

It scares me though.

How scary!

My 6 month old has been having recognizable seizures since 7 weeks; in retrospect he has had what is seizure activity since birth, that we thought was weird but neither our MW or pediatrician were overly concerned. At 7 weeks he had his first seizure that lasted over 2 minutes. Since then the types and lengths have been changing, and he has them much less frequently.

His EEG was normal, and we go in to see the pediatric neurologist on February 1.

I'm glad you have that- it's a relief to be able to do something! The good news is that if they are febrile convulsions- even atypical febrile convulsions- that she will grow out of them and you can avoid daily medication and all the scary side effects with that.

Yesterday she ended up with blisters on her hands and feet, headed to the ped today and was told its hand foot and mouth disease, which dad now has blisters, we've all had a 24 hour fever/sore throat, I have no experience with it, but I guess its sorta common? I don't know if its what caused the fever, anyone have any input?
