Anyone have a Prince Lionheart washPOD?

I'm interested in getting a washPOD http://www.princelionheart.com/site/n_bc_7301.html
Anyone have one and can share their experiences with it? Is it worth the price?

TIA

I got it, but I can't give a review because my baby isn't here yet. I'm excited about it, though! The reviews I read online are good, and it seems like it would cure the problems I had with bathing my first child. The only way I could give my DD a good bath was to wash her on my lap in the bathtub (which worked fine) but now my nightly bath is my only "me" time ever, and with a second kid coming I'm really not wanting to give that up.

I got mine on Amazon, where the price was not bad and it shipped free!

I absolutely hated it. I tried it twice then gave up because i found it so difficult to hold him and wash him properly. It was especially impossible and annoying to wash the lower half of his body. I got my mother, sister, and husband to all try it out and they totally hated it too. Of all the baby stuff that i got, that tub was the most useless thing i got.

I have one and I love it! It was a little hard to manuever for the first couple of weeks, but after my DD got a tiny bit sturdier it works really well.. I think Alisse might want to give it another try if her baby is a little older.. It supports your baby really well, helps them to sit up comfortably and play in the water. It also hardly uses any water to fill it up, yet keeps your baby submerged and warm. I totally recommend it!

^Being too young might have been part of the reason it was so frustrating to bath him in the pod, for instance, he couldn't sit in it so had to be constantly held which is very difficult in this type of tub. He's almost 4months old now so he wouldn't need to be held to sit up but he's probably too big for it already, (he's almost 20lbs).

BTW, that video was adorable and hilarious!

If my son weren't nearing 9 months I would purchase the tub simply to try and recreate the cuteness of that video. Adorable!

I didn't work for us. It was hard to get him in and out of it and he outgrew it quickly. We used it once, tried two other times and it just didn't work. It was hard to wash him and really he just didn't like being in it. And by three months, he was just too big for it.

For us, it was just better and easier and safer to take him in the bathtub with me, it felt safer for us and seemed to make him feel more secure. The only time he ever cried during a bath was in that washpod.

I plan on giving mine away on freecycle.

DS is currently 20lbs and 27 inches (at 5mo). I saw the washpod at stores before DS arrived and thought it was a bit silly (we used an IKEA recycling tub for dd1 and dd2 since our house only has a shower)... but a friend gave us one as a gift and we thought we'd give it a try.

And ds LOVES it. Love love loves it.

Seriously, I think this has been the single best item of baby gear we've ever had (and this is babe number three, so far only the ergo has been more useful). I can say that it's a bit difficult to get him out of the pod since he is a chunky babe and there just isn't a lot of room to get under his arms and lift him out. But other than that, the washpod has been awesome. He loves it, it doesn't take up much room in the shower, and I think it'll fit for a while despite his size.

Here's ds getting his first bath (here and here) in the washpod... I really wish I'd had it for dd2 as well!

Tummy Tub is best!

My babies struggled with bath time and being cold. I saw the Tummy Tub on tv and was so excited to try it! This is the original one used in Europe. It was sold out so I tried the washPod. I was disappointed in the cheap plastic quality of it, and found it cumbersome to lift, heavy, and hard to store. I was excited to get the Tummy Tub a couple months later. We love it! It is super light weight and easy to store, and it is transparent so you can see the baby through the walls. My son loves being bathed now and we find it very easy to use. I appreciate that it is made under ethical conditions in a country that monitors quality and safety standards (Belgium as opposed to China). I give it a 2 thumbs up!
