DD's skin is SO dry right now.Her hair seem drier than usual too. I can't figure out why or what to do! She's 19 months old with skin of a 85 year old I feel terrible for her. It doesn't seem to bother her really but it's bothering me. It's so dry and rough mainly on her legs, sides and elbows. She takes a 1/2-1tsp a day of FCLO. EAts avocado a few times a week, salmon 2-3 times a week, raw milk,CO often and lots of real butter. I feel that she's getting enough fat and drinks enough water so why is she so dry.

We do live in AZ so there's not much moisture in the air. I have tried olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil with E,jojoba oil, body butters, calendula salve but nothing is getting her moist! Any thoughts???

When do you apply the moisturizers? I've found with my son that frequent but short warm baths followed immediately by the moisturizer work the best. Putting moisturizer on at any other time doesn't do him any good at all. It has to have some residual moisture from the bath to "lock in."

Oh, and by frequent, at least once a day, if not twice. My pedi recommended twice a day but I couldn't do that on a regular basis. Bathing my son daily plus a moisturizer has done the trick.
