As our family CFO, January is traditionally my time to plan our family's finances for the coming year.

Today, I:

-checked my FICO score (835!)
-cleaned out my entire file cabinet and desk &filed the "inbox"
-put old files into my "keep for 7 years" box and shredded older stuff
-obtained credit reports for me/dh
-set aside my IRA/retirement statements to review with dh
-made a list of the stuff we need to budget this year (vacation, etc.)
-made a list of stuff we still need to do (set up wills/DPOA-HC, etc.)
-made a list of insurance policies to evaluate/price shop

What things do you all do??

I'm trying to think of any bases I'm not covering. I keep putting stuff like end-of-life/estate planning because I don't know where to start (call a lawyer? do it myself?).
