How to clean a 4yo breast pump?

I have no idea, so please pardon my cluelessness. I found it in a plastic container last night. Making sure all of the pieces were there and what not. It's Avent Isis Single Manual pump. It doesn't have many parts to it, but what it does have has water spots in it and just needs to be cleaned in general.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

You could boil the parts, but I'd be a bit hesitant. I did this once and one part (I forget what now) warped. Whoops. :/ There's also those sterlizing bags that Medela makes, if you're not against using your microwave to do this, of course. Or as the site I linked says, the top rack of the dishwasher.

I sterilize my pump before I begin to use it after it's been a few months or more since I last used it. And then from there on out, I usually just hand wash the parts and then throw them in the top rack of the dishwasher once a week as well.

I just washed my Medela parts by hand and sterilized them (Avent sterilizer). I ended up buying a new Isis because I don't think my old one was BPA free (5 years old).

Good point. I didn't even think about the BPA free part. I should check in to that.

Thanks!
