Also, the Addison on Grey's Anatomy? She's what, 40 or so? No one was naming girls Addison back then. Not that it's relevant to this discussion, but it bugs me.

OMG, that's such a pet peeve of mine! I know it's so inconsequential and not actually reality, but I HATE it when books and movies and TV shows give trendy names to adult characters. Her name would totally be Melissa or Karen, right? No female over the age of 8 is named Addison! It always just ruins it for me.

Yes, I know I need a life.

Choosing names can be SO hard! DH and I couldn't agree on a name for DS, so I threw one out there he agreed on but it's a popular girls name now.

At least in Canada it's 50-50 split...but still. Now that I have a boy I wish girls would stop "stealing" boys names, lol.

Girl. We named DD2 this 3 years ago and weren't even aware of the TV show with the character using the same name.
