Soaking Rice & Butter Replacement

Thread Starter
I found out I am intolerant to dairy of all kinds. How do I soak my rice without yogurt? I miss my smoothies. I have tried homemade nut milk smoothies but it isn't the same. My main loss is butter. I tried Ghee, it really wasn't anything like butter in my opinion. What can I use in place of butter. I use some CO & EVO, but really it isn't the same as butter.

I'm just throwing some ideas out that someone else can confirm. What about water kefir? Whey? Is whey a no-no for those who can't do dairy?

I always use raw apple cider vinegar for soaking grains.

I'm avoiding milk too and I find oat milk delicious in smoothies.

No help here, sorry; CO is just fine for me, even better than butter.
A friend of mine always uses tahini instead of butter, e.g. on toast, in baking etc.

For a butter replacement you could try Marrow in certain situations
