Need TASTY raw recipes!

Everything i've tried to make from raw cookbooks has tasted awful, and i don't consider myself a picky eater. Do you have any awesome recipes you'd like to share?

I don't like most of the raw recipes. Most of the food I've had at raw restaurants is gross to me too lol. And the recipes take so long to make, it's just not worth it. I usually just make guacamole, salsa, smoothies. Raw granola is OK but between that and the crackers it's a lot of heavy nut based foods.

I did have some raw ravioli at a shop that was good. It was thin parsnip slices folded over and filled with a raw nut cheese and then covered in a raw tomato sauce.

Pizzas made with flax crackers, a slice of tomato, avocado, nut mayo. Yum!

I used to make a mexican rice that was good. It was just grated parsnip with chopped tomato and chili pepper seasonings. A pasta made from sliced squash covered in tomato sauce and seasonings is good too.

Tiny Pizzas. I used portabellos and dehydrated them a bit.

I usually like the recipes from here.

What is it that you didn't like?? Can you give some direction?

I'm not raw vegan now, but I was for a time - and I've kept so many of the meals as part of our routine... I still try new ones every chance I can.

Do you have Alissa Cohen's Living on Live Food? I keep in heavy rotation around here:
Paul's Pate
Collard Rolls
Blueberry Cheesecake (TDF!!!)
Wakame Cucumber Salad
Fudge Balls
Chocolate Cake
Angel Hair Pasta and Marinara Sauce

all at a minimum.....

Surprisingly I prefer raw foods that don't need a dehydrator - I think some people use the dehydrator as a step down between SAD and raw but it isn't my thing....

Good luck!

I made some kind of buckwheat oatmeal and some cookies, and they weren't tasty, to say the least. I recently read about "buckwheat crunchies" where you sprout them then dehydrate them, and voila--cereal, but just the thought....

I also don't like squash, so all the pasta options are out. I'll see if i can get ahold of that book and take a look. Thanks!
