fever no other symptoms

DD woke up this morning with fever 101 no other symptoms. She had a bit of a sinus issues the last week and now is clear no issues. But has fever.
A bit concerend she has no symptoms but has fever

How old is she? If she's still pretty young, any of those rash viruses could be the culprit. A fever for 3 days, then it breaks, and a rash develops. Harmless in themselves (although contagious). Just give TLC and keep her hydrated.

Or it might be a lingering ear infection from the cold. Does she seem to have any pain there?

she is 9 no pain or anything anywhere says she feels fine. i dont know..

Actually, I've been the same way for the past couple of weeks. I've been spiking a fever right after going to bed and waking up with it lingering. No other symptoms...just a fever. I was really sick around Christmas. I'm thinking my immune system was down after that and I'm susceptible to random viruses. You said she'd recently been sick? I'd assume the same thing...

Maybe she got exposed to something and her body is fighting it? Isn't that what fevers do?

she has fever but really doesnt feel hot to touch but if you take temp she is 101.7 uggh she has bad dark circles poor kid looks bad

There is something called "Viral Syndrome" that basically means "There's no bacterial cause for your fever and you have no other symptoms to point to a specific virus...but you have a fever so you MUST be sick with something" and "Fever of Undetermined Origin" that means basically the same thing...
