We just downsized from a king to a queen (the kids now sleep on their own futons on the floor next to our bed, so we thought we could get a new bed since it would just be the two of us and kings aren't available where we live--well, they are, but they take about a year to get here when we order them). . .boy am I sorry we did that!! Now, there's no room for the kids. DS has a bad dream, crawls in bed with DH and me, and we're miserable. . .there's just no room. DS and DD want to get in bed with us on weekend mornings and there's no room. I hate it!!! I love how comfy it is when it's just DH and me, but it's not practical at all. If we could go back, I'd definitely get another king. Remember, someday the kids will want their own space. . .but there will be those times when you all want to cuddle in bed together. . .GET the King!!
