Lessons learned

I just took my kids on a 1000-mile round-trip train trip. We were gone for a week and a half. I used nothing but Snappied prefolds and Dappi nylon pull-ons on DD2 and they worked great and I have no complaints whatsoever. I did notice that using the top-loader-as-wet-pail method at my mother's house (I have a front loader at home) actually seemed to make stains and stink worse than dry pailing. It could have been the water quality or detergent (well water, All detergent--using all prefolds I wasn't going to buy anything special), I guess.

I did reach for my fitteds as soon as we got home, though.

Wet pail did not work for us eaither it made my diapers grey and dingy actually. maybe water quality but dry worked better for us.

This morning we had BF poop leak out of both the Snappied prefold and the leg of the Dappi nylon pants and get on both my pajamas and our bed. How does that happen?! I'm just glad it happened at home and not on our trip. When DD1 was a baby it happened on the train, except with MEAF not Dappi. It was the only time ever that I remember.
