thrush - can I use this milk?

Dd (2 months) has thrush. She received Gentian Violet on Monday and it seemed to clear up a bit for a few days, but I noticed it again yesterday. She now has a prescription for Nystatin which she's had 3 doses of so far (she'll take it 4x/day). I notice no symptoms on myself - no cracks, soreness, dryness... They are a little red today, but that is likely due to all the pumping I've been doing. I also am using Nystatin cream twice daily since Monday.

So, she's been refusing to nurse more and more. My supply is starting to be affected. I've been pumping, which was particularly useful to keep my supply up when I could do it between feeds. Today, she's refused all but 2 different 5 minute sessions, so I've been pumping quite as much as I can.

So with all this pumping I'm doing, can I feed her the milk? I have been, since I'm not showing any symptoms and I have the Nystatin. I feel like it shouldn't be any different than if she bf's, but I don't want to make matters worse. I just hate to dump all that milk and dip into my freezer supply, since I go back to work in a month and I'm trying to save up.

I don't think there's any need to throw out the milk.

With recurrent thrush though, I would look into doing some good gut healing. A healthy diet with no sugar if possible, and some good probiotics would go a long way.

I've re-started my probiotics, and I have some for dd, too (I understand that that's safe). I've reduced my sugar intake (it was more than it should be with the holidays anyway!). Hopefully, those things help. If it continues to recur, then I'll be more aggressive.
