After CD but before undies FT

My son has been using the potty since Nov 1st. He is doing great with peeing and okay with pooping. I do put a diaper on him at naptime and nighttime. Sometimes he wakes up from nap dry sometimes he doesn't, sometimes he waits until he is put down for a nap to poop in a diaper. This is all fine with me asI know it will all come together for him whenever it does. My problem is he really is too big for his BG one size and his FB large are even a bit to small. I don't want to use pull-ups...is there a CD version of a pull-up? I need something kinda absorbent b/c he can sometimes be a heavy wetter at night.

I would love some suggestions on what other moms did for there "big boys".

My DD was a late trainer and the process was very slow due to some processing delays.. We made the investment in some snap ez AIO trainers and the stuffable ones. The AIOs were great for day time assorbant enough to catch a day time pee with our leaking we sent her to preschool in these but they cold be pulled up and down and she could still feel wet and they were sized well.. For night or naps we could do the stuffable version.

Sandy's Mother Ease diapers were my favorite when DD got to that point. They go up to 35 pounds...she never outgrew them!

Yep! This is what I've used for the last 3 LO's once they got to that point. My almost 3 yo is wearing them, now (well, ATM, he is only wearing a shirt, b/c it helps him remember to use the toilet if he doesn't have anything on his bottom, but when he does need to wear something, I help him pull on a pre-snapped Sandy. Much more absorbent than training pants, and I can add a cover at night.)

They have a bigger version, too. Toddle-ease if you scroll down.

That said, my youngest is 37 lbs and the Large Sandy's still fit him just fine. They have a bit of stretch to them.

My son has been potty trained for 6 months now, and only wears a diaper at night. He will be 3 in Feb, is 38 lbs.....the only diapers that I have that still fit him are my Thirstie AIO's.

HTH!

At that point here, I picked up some starbunz super undies (which can get used like a pocket diaper - I stuff them with hemp inserts for bedtime). They pull up and down, and have snaps on the sides if that's easier. I've heard good things about happy heiney's pocket trainers too which I hear run a little larger size-wise yet are very similar (the super undies seem to run a tad small).
