What's the deal with them? Did you like them? What have you heard?

I saw them advertised in Mothering and I've never heard of them. Very interested!

I just bought one to try, and I like it. It's an AI2, basically a variation on prefold-and-wrap. The cover is a one-size front-snapping cover that comes in cute colors, which in itself is currently a unique product (wouldn't surprise me if others try to copy it in the future). The cover is made of thin, lightweight PUL and it has flaps on the front and back ends to hold the insert. The insert is also one-size, but instead of having snaps, it has folding lines for small, medium, large. I got the stay dry insert, which is fleece-topped microfiber. I'd be interested to try the organic cotton as well, BUT, the cover works perfectly fine with a normal trifolded prefold, and I already have a whole bunch of those, so I don't think I'd sink money into the inserts. The cover also works well over my fitted diapers.

I haven't used it overnight or out of the house yet.

Cool!

I was really surprised I've never heard a peep about them, especially since they are made by BG.

They're new, so not everyone has tried them, and no one has used them long term yet.

shows how much I have been paying attention, b/c I had never even heard of them. They look pretty cool, and I might try them if my youngest wasn't potty learning.

I like my grobaby diapers better, but the stay dry inner of the flip is kinda cool. I am so-so about them though because the cover just feels thin compared to some of the other diapers I have.

I have been using the Flips for about a month. I really like them so far. We use the organic cotton inserts, they are SUPER absorbent! As a matter of fact, DS had one on for about 4 hours today due to an unexpectedly long nap, and it held really well. The covers are nice too, hang them to dry and they only take about a couple of hours. (The covers shouldn't be put in the dryer.) I haven't tried them for night time because we use disposables at night. I think they would probably need something extra added to them at night though. The covers are nice and adjustable, and I like that I can wipe out the inside for just a pee diaper (I always put the cover in the wash if any poo gets on it.) The snaps feel very sturdy. We have had only 1 or 2 leaks and they were very minor (around the legs, but DS is sort of on the skinny side). Most times I am surprised at how well they hold everything in, especially the poo (DS is EBF). The inserts take a little longer to dry than I would like, but I am hoping that the weather will be nice enough soon to hang them out! All in all, I have been happy with them. HTH!

My DD is 3 months old and EBF. The Flip has worked great to contain that runny poo. I also tried it once overnight (with a stay-dry insert). She was in it for 12 hours with no leaks! It's nice and trim on her, but adjustable enough to also fit my 2-year-old son who is 40" and 38 lbs!

Both my kids are...er, substantial poopers. Any good-sized poop has gotten past the liner and onto the cover. I don't care if I have to wash the whole thing, though, since it's been perfect so far at preventing poop leaks onto their clothes.

I love how flexible and trim the cover is. The snaps are sturdy. Too sturdy?? Sometimes I am afraid I could tear the cover trying to get the snaps apart. I'll be interested to see how long this cover holds up. So far, though, I'm a fan of the Flip!

Thanks for all the info!

I've been itching to try something new.

Another day of using them. I'm not crazy about the microfiber insert, and the organic cotton one is out of my price range, although I'm considering buying just one, to try. But I love the cover! It's so hard to find front-snapping covers that aren't plain white, and this one is very adjustable and seems like it will be durable. I like the front and back flaps, too. It works over both prefolds and fitteds. Trying to keep my finger off the "buy" button for now since I have plenty of other covers of other brands....

Does anyone know if the Flip stay dry would fit inside a grobaby diaper shell?
