Feel free to use the idea of a scrapbook TM, it's not patented. I kinda wanted to show it here since I read that several other people this year mentioned needing something transportable, so I thought I'd offer an example. I have a 2yo, and she loves to look at it too, and since it's in the book she can't hurt it by pulling off the little pieces.

Beautiful Life - I love yours. I remember seeing it on last years thread.

I'm getting excited!

Gawd, I don't want to get rid of mine...last year's manifested the love of my life, my high school sweetheart after 35 years apart and it's been the most amazing ride of my life!!
I may have to just take pics of it, eventually. Or keep the relationship part-- I think I need to frame that, srsly.

I do want to get rid of the previous ones, though...can you burn foam board? Yarg.

I also can't wait to see my new one!

So Excited For First Timers!

Couple of things... I am so excited for anyone just starting this journey.

Tracy - thanks for everything you have brought to the mothering boards with your information. it has been life altering.

Theia - Glad to see you on the thread. You were a powerful voice for me last year on this thread.

So much of my map moved even this week. From unexpected money to huge emotional dynamic down to how my space is used and releasing things I am starting to just now comprehend.

This will be my 4th map and it has been such a journey of personal learning. I needed my maps til now to bring me to here and I am so excited at the prospect of another one.

Tracy - What did you do with old maps? I don't want them anymore but I can't think of a way to rid myself of them. Looking for ideas here. Trash feels so wrong as does recycling. Can't burn due to nature of materials though that is how I usually purge journals and such.

I have had a debt erased pretty much to the dollar in a random way, a new to me car, 3 dumpsters cleared from the farmhouse I rent ( all from spaces you can't even see attics and lofts), home dreams realized, and the ability to free myself in healthful ways. This process has meant so much to me.

My boys will be making maps of their own again. Tomorrow will be a drop off of more decluttered but useful home items and I think I will smudge, thanks for the reminder in a recent post. So much energy has been displaced around my home with the dumpsters- things that hadn't moved for years. Lots of empty space needing fresh energy. Letting go of as many non-essentials as possible to really focus on living a peaceful life with my family.

farmlife - Wow! That sounds great! I am so glad you are getting so much done as well as getting so much movement from your old map. And thank you for remembering me and I'm glad I was so inspiring. I've been lurking on this thread this year. Still doing a TM this year, just in more introspective place this time.

is there a deadline for having our maps finished by? what if we're not done purging/cleaning? should we start late or start on time and just do what we can as best we can? i'm trying to get the house ready to sell and it's kind of in disarray while i pack, sort toys, etc.

Deadline- Tracy posted that finishing up on Saturday (the 17th is the end of the new moon phase) is preferred, but we can go as long as the 28th (full moon) if necessary.
Get started on time, so you can complete your TM. Continue working on house related chores & projects. I have a list of my own I won't finish today, but the motivation of the last week has helped me accomplish a lot and I am ready to keep going. Good luck with selling your home.

Old TMs- I haven't gotten rid of any of them yet. So far it's been ok for me to store them behind a dresser or under the bed. It's been nice to pull out years past and see how things I'd TMed continued to manifest. I think when it is time to let go of them I will take pics, and recycle them.

My DH had the same question as we're scrambling to donate our car finally - couldn't do it yesterday, can't today so it will have to wait until tomorrow. Along with all the boxes labeled for donate in our basement. All these items are laden with intent of donation and have been in my mind released from our possesion already.

Yeah, that-- my spare bedroom is getting filled with stuff I'm going to yard-sale, but I am not ready to have the sale yet. Maybe end of April or sometime in May. I'll still be working on it, and releasing/decluttering after TM time starts. BUT. Yes, I have also released all that stuff, in my mind.

Time to go declutter more. Then smudge. Windows are open, letting out the old energy. Then tomorrow, I will open them and let in the new

so, here we are, one day before the next TM, and i think my TM from last year might just come true before tomorrow..... or be set in motion, anyway. talk about last minute!

Part of my TM is going to be decluttering, although I've started already. It's time for a good life cleaning. It's difficult to get things actually out of the house once they're put in boxes or whatever for donation (kids dig them out or whatever), so I've cleared the back shed to receive anything I intend to donate or otherwise get rid of so that it won't get UNpacked and dragged back into circulation. This way, it's out of the house and stays in it's ready to be gotten rid of form. We hope.
Is tomorrow really the 14th already? I better get moving!!

Aw, I can't believe I almost missed this year's map!!! Tomorrow, talk about just being in the nick of time


The cool thing is that I am going to see about a new job tomorrow, knowing it was the new moon, I can't believe that I forgot about it being April.

I don't have much time, but I am going to start (DH did one with me last year, I hope he does again) it's good that I can work on it over the next few days. I didn't realize that before.

I am getting so excited!! I've been looking at my old Treasure Maps and my Family Binder (the dividers inside were essentially several mini maps for each aspect of our homelife in 2008 and then grew and changed until the updated versions kind of acted as my map last year).

I am excited!!

I would also like to put up a plea that the PMS vacates the premises *BEFORE* I start this. This is not a mindset I want to hang around while I try to envision what I want for the next year. Please.

I hear ya, mama!
I've been so excited... then PMS kicked into overdrive today.
Tomorrow I'm taking it easy and going to focus every bit of extra energy into my TM after I do some meditation in the morn.
