Ingesting the placenta...no matter WHERE it was birthed?

I encapsulated my last placenta and planned to do the same with this one. But I have kind of a strange question. Last time I just birthed it onto the floor. But what about placenta's that are birthed into the toilet? Or even into the bath or in the shower, though those wouldn't bother me nearly as much as the toilet. It just doesn't feel like after that it'd be clean enough? Maybe I'm weird?? I mean, I keep a clean toilet, but really...

You clean it off pretty well before dehydrating or freezing it anyway, so I think it would be ok. Wash off with hot hot water maybe?

Unless you are vegetarian, your toilet is likely a lot less gross than all the places the meat you eat has been.

See, I knew that asking this here would give me answers that put it into perspective! In all honesty I'm just trying to make myself comfortable with the idea because last time it took me a while to birth the placenta but I stayed on the floor the whole time and really only leaned over my birth ball or squatted a few times, but I've heard the toilet can be a very successful place for it to happen. So I wanted to be open to the idea without feeling like I was "losing" the placenta.

Could put a big bowl or something in the toilet if you anticipate birthing the placenta there.

Personally, I'm really, really icked out by bathroom germs and wouldn't do it. But that's my own weird phobia.. I'm sure it would be fine in actuality.

I birthed mine on the toilet into a plastic grocery bag - you could always do that!

If you're going to dehydrate it, I would think it would be pretty hard for any germs to live through the process. I understand the psychological icky factor though.
