Hi
I am the loved wife to DH for 10.5 years and the happy momma of DD 7yrs old and DS 5yrs old. Found out this morning that we are expecting ... our 4th pregnancy 3rd child.
With DD I had no idea that I had the right to not have my pregnancy or birth not be interfered with. With DS I still did not know I had the right to interference free pregnancy and birth and I kept telling myself and hubby that I was gonna wait until his head was showing before going to the hospital... but I caved in after repeated doctor visits telling me from 20 weeks on that "this is going to be a huge baby" and unresearched and unlearned as I was I agreed to an induction on my "due date".
They predicted by ultrasound that DS would weight 9lbs and repeatedly offered and reccommended a C-section from 32ish weeks on. I kindly informed the doctor that if they forced me to have a CS then they needed to ensure me a room in the psych ward.
DS was 10lbs 4oz and 23 inches long. I pushed twice... oh and I have not forgot the forced episiotomy that I loud and clearly said "no" to at least twice.
So that brings me to this pregnancy. Never thought we would have another baby. Recently convicted that God's plans and timing are perfect and we should not try to control everthing in our lives but instead have faith that God has a plan for us and will provide a perfect way... and 2 months later I am pleasantly surprised to be pregnant. LOL
DH asked me today *after it sank in that 2 lines means soon there will be 3 children* "which doc you think you will go with?" My reply "None." He said no seriously and I told him I am serious.
So the journey to preparing for a freebirth and keeping tabs on my pregnancy progress at home begins.
I look forward to making new friends and sharing experiences!
