Dd, 2 mo, is on a nursing strike. I think it's because of thrush, although it's isolated to her tongue (as far as I can tell) and isn't very much. She has been on Nystatin for a day now and I think it's a week-long prescription.

How long can a nursing strike last? I would assume that as the thrush clears up, she'll start nursing again. But do babies learn that it's easier to get milk from a bottle and decide not to go back? And how long does it normally take thrush to clear up enough to start bf'ing again?

I'm really nervous because I found out she's not gaining as she should be (gained 14 oz. in 6 weeks) at the same time this started, and my supply feels like it's dipping because of the pumping only and the stress of it all. I never had these problems with ds.
